Jeroen Drost appointed as NIBC's Chief Executive Officer

The Supervisory Board of NIBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeroen Drost (47) as Chief Executive
Officer, with effect from 1 May 2008 and the intention to appoint him, subject to approval of De Nederlandsche Bank
(Dutch Central Bank), as chairman of the Managing Board of NIBC Holding N.V., NIBC Bank N.V. and NIBC
Investment Management N.V.
Mr. Drost has extensive experience in investment banking in the Netherlands, London, Central & Eastern Europe and
Asia. Throughout his long career at ABN AMRO Bank he held different positions. Among others, he was responsible
for substantial corporate and commercial client portfolios and led several M&A transactions in a variety of industries. In
his capacity as Head Corporate Development Mr. Drost was in charge of the strategic management process of the
bank and set up a new governance structure.
His latest position at ABN AMRO was Chief Executive Officer Asia. With Asia being the focus in terms of growth, both
organically and through M&A, Mr. Drost was given the opportunity to lead and manage ABN AMRO Asia which spans
over 17 countries. The bank's activities in Asia cover a full range of services, segments and products i.e. Consumer
clients, Commercial clients, Global clients, Private Banking, Asset Management, Global Markets and Transaction
banking.
Mr. Drost will take over responsibility from Mr. Enthoven who has officially stepped down as chairman of the Managing
Boards mentioned with effect from 20 March 2008. The Supervisory Board has appointed Jan van Nieuwenhuizen as
acting Chief Executive Officer until May 1, 2008.
The Supervisory Board would like to express their thanks to Mr. Enthoven for his contribution to NIBC over the years
and would like to welcome Mr. Drost to NIBC and wishes him success in his new role.
